Một trong những bộ máy tìm kiếm mà tôi thấy hoạt động khá tốt là Rapidlibrary, không chỉ vì giao diện khá đẹp mắt mà còn bởi tính hiệu quả của nó. Giao diện ban đầu của Rapidlibrary trông có phần giống như những trình tìm kiếm torrent bắt mắt. Bạn có thể gõ từ khoá và lựa chọn tìm kiếm trong những khoản mục cho trước như âm nhạc, video, phần mềm… Một danh sách 200 từ khoá tìm kiếm gần nhất cũng được liệt kê như một gợi ý nhỏ về những điều mà người ta đang quan tâm. Kết quả tìm kiếm có thể được xắp xếp theo kích cỡ file hoặc theo thứ tự bảng chữ cái. Mỗi kết quả cho ta thông tin chi tiết về tên đầy đủ, kích cớ file, địa chỉ tải, chỉ mục phân loại. File mà vừa bị xoá đi cũng được liệt kê trong kết quả nhưng địa chỉ của nó sẽ bị mờ đi, vì vậy ta không cần phải tốn thời gian click vào đường dẫn chỉ để nhận ra là tập tin không còn tồn tại. Guys,

Believe me, when I 1st heard about rapidlibrary (somewhere in Apr or May ‘08), it seemed to work fine. Nothing interrupted it between clicking the link that I want until download was complete. It was like a gift from Wonderland.

Along the way (somewhere in Aug ‘08), suddenly this Zango thingy started popping up when you click on the link. Even then, sometimes, you could get through without the Zango pop-up. Nowadays, nothing goes through without the Zango installation. I’ve a phobia about installing unknown software, so I’m stopped using it now.

i just want to clarify one thing
the ZANGO thing appears only if you have MS Windows installed

Mac and Linux users (one is sitting right here) don’t see that thing, so they can actually USE rapidlibrary freely

the same case is with RSFind or several more rapidshare searches (I think they are all owned by the same guy btw), all shows zango, but only to windows users

yes that’s true Justin, but more often than not, a non-descriptive link is posted right below a very descriptive bit of text! notice i’m not looking for full strings, just search terms that are on the same page with file hosting URLs.

in the end, this search works extremely well. i have found probably 95% of everything i have ever tried to find between this and my warez forum. the rest, i just post a request on my warez forum and more often than not it turns up in a few hours :)

a simple google search is very effective at finding files on hosting sites. try this to search the ‘big three’:

“SEARCH TERMS HERE” intext:( rapidshare.com/files/ | megaupload.com/?d= | sendspace.com/file/ )

i have this mapped to the keyword ‘find’ in Executor to quickly locate whatever i happen to need.

of course, i only resort to this when my favourite warez forum doesn’t have what i’m looking for, which doesn’t happen very often!

One more thing, you may want to carefully moderate comments by this nickie guy. He is spamming the sister site 4megaupload with same ill intent. Couldn’t help but notice he mentioned rapidlibrary as well in your linked thread above (same sentence, no less).

Honest mistakes happen. Besides, raising awareness about ZANGO ain’t a bad thing; an ounce of prevention and all that. Thanks for the correction and links to decent searches!

@cheryl: No worries. Hell, someone may have allowed your IP addy to bypass the install component, who knows (”knew you were coming” scenario, inapplicable if you stumbled upon it). I was allowed to search as well. It was when I went to actually click the link(s) provided that the not-so-fast ZANGO bouncer spoiled the party.

@darkkosmos: It was never about arguing with anyone. It’s about preventing novices from getting a crash course in “hijack this!” usage. Even if you’d learn alot from it.

I’m really sorry for the mix-up. I went to the Rapidlibrary page myself and did some searches and I never got any link asking me to download or install Zango. I’m not sure how I bypassed it.

@darkkosmos: it will still ask you to do so even if you have adblock plus. Adblock Plus only blocks the display and text ads. This is not a case where an ad on a page asks you to install Zango; rather it takes you to a page which prompts you to do so.

This couldn’t have been checked beforehand. Can’t imagine a site advocating installing ZANGO. Especially one that I recently bookmarked for having cool content. Say it ain’t so!

Hmm. At any rate, don’t bother (read: run as fast as you fucking can from rapidlibrary). They even have three dots in the links so you can’t circumvent the crapware install either. Cute.

In short, for shame. Care to mention those “other searches” without obligatory adware installs? Sorry if my tone sucks, but this is pretty inexcusable, for obvious reasons.
