I was very impressed by the Fast Picture Viewer application that I reviewed earlier today. It was the fastest image viewer that I tested so far and has replaced my favorite Xnview which I have been using for a long time.
The author Axel was so nice to send me registration keys for his software program that can be used to turn the free version into the professional version. The professional version supports additional file types which was my only criticism in the previous review.
If you want to grab a registration key for Fast Picture Viewer reply in here with a comment and I send them to anyone who is commenting as long as I have some. The keys are good for one machine only and require activation over the Internet.
That’s a great chance of getting the fastest image viewer out there for free. What are you waiting for?
Update: Keys are out! I send out lots of them and hope everyone who received one has a good experience and writes about it here or directly to the author.

I tried FPV before you posted about it and I think it’s great. However, it’s a shame that the key will only work in one machine; to me, that sounds like I’ll lose it whenever I reinstall XP

Nice program. Extrem fast. But I could not find an option to see the photos in full window. If the maker read, it will be nice to see an option to add functions to the right mouse button, as the “other zoom option”.

I liked this program a lot, but the lack of supported file types in the freeware version was a huge turn-off to me.

To answer a question asked above, those free keys are gHacks.net specials. They are single-computer only and, unfortunately, will not survive a hard-disk reformat. Think of it as a free trial without expiration date. Regular registered users benefits for replacement keys in case of loss.

It really is a Fast viewer. With Hardware performance enabled and Multi Core support, it browses through my 4MB+ pics with an ease of 100kb files.

Like irfanview, it is fast;
Like xnview, it is beautiful.
And “fastpictureviewer” is tiny, fast, beautiful, and easy to use it.
It also support unicode, so it is very suitable for me.

Looks like a great program. I currently use faststone (faststone.org), not a bad , free picture viewer, but faster is always better so I would like to try this one…
Currently use Faststone Image Viewer for viewing and editing images. But I would be forever grateful to receive a key for the professional edition of FPV. And if it’s as good as advertised, I might be willin’ to pay for an upgrade that includes the plugin to open an image in my favorite image editor. Thanks.

I have tested the free version … seems to be good … but useless for me because most of my files are Canon raw format.

I would really love to give try to pro version, as I want to see how good it is for RAW viewing. I’m sorely disappointed with Picasa image viewer and Nikon isn’t releasing RAW codec for 64-bit OS anytime soon.
