Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 Out

The email client Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 has been released just a few hours ago and is now available for download on the official Get Thunderbird website but also through automatic updates in the mail client. I had to manually selected Help > Check for Updates to install the new version this way but most users will probably be notified about the update in Thunderbird.

The new Thunderbird update is a security release that fixes 6 moderate and 2 low vulnerabilities which obviously means that it is recommended to update the email client as soon as possible to patch the security vulnerabilities.

You could head over to the Security Advisories to read up on the security vulnerabilities that the Thunderbird team fixed in the issue, the release notes on the other hand do not reveal any additional information about this release. Happy Updating!
