It has fantastic sharpness and extremely high compression rates, even color djvu files tend to be smaller than b/w pdf equivalents, and look sharper.
I've tried stduviewer and found it to be very slow as compared to others like WinDjView. But its plus point is that you can add bookmarks to djvu/pdf files.
Overall, okular is the best doc viewer out there. I wish it's ported to windows.

I’m really surprised that the djvu format hasn’t taken off. The format that is pronounced déjà vu is being used to distribute high resolution scans of documents but also of digital documents and photos on the Internet.
Quite a popular format for scanned books distribution.
It was designed with speed in mind, it opens pdf documents as fast, or even a bit faster, than Foxit Reader which is one of the fastest of its kind.
But it has speed hiccups when scrolling them. So I dumped STDU and returned to Foxit, despite having some problems with it too.

The requested URL /resources/plugin/ was not found on this server.
Apache/1.3.27 Server at djvu.org Port 80
Also, whatever happened to JPG2000 which had better quality than JPEG?

At http://djvu.org/resources/plugin/ I tried to install the djvu plugin in FF but couldn’t because I got this error message:

Not Found<br
