2GB of storage is good for backing up most of my data. I don’t have to search around for my backup in dvd disk storage media.

I’ve been using Windows Live Foldershare, but this sounds like it works better, faster, and with a few nicer features. I’m very interested and would love an invite if/when they are available.

I had an invite to Dropbox and tried it out briefly moving a couple of test files around. Haven’t used it for a couple of weeks as I was working from the desktop. They recommend keeping your files in the Dropbox folder and working from those files to ensure you have the current copy at all times. DON’T DO IT.

I’m traveling tomorrow and thought this would be a good test to try to retrieve my files from my laptop when I’m away. Well, Dropbox is gone. Its just not there. Nadda. Including the couple of test files I’d loaded up on my desktop and laptop. Gone.

I am SO GLAD I didn’t use this as a storage system. Can you imagine losing files like that?? Holy Crap.
