I just looked in the Add/Remove list. This is what I see:

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

I used to have .Net Frameworks 1 & 2 installed. I let Microsoft do all the updates for this framework (I don't download any part of it manually). So what you see above is what Microsoft created and what Microsoft thinks I need.

This seems to confirm my contention that the Wi-Fi program is poorly written.

Jojo yes if you install .net Framework 3.5 then the other two get installed automatically.

I thought that new versions always incorporate past versions?

I also remember reading somewhere (here?) about removing prior versions of .NET and that some people had done so without any problems.

If this program requires a special version that has been superseded, then it is poorly written.

Jojo, each .Net Framework is a different program, which means you need 1.1.4322, it doesn't matter if you have 3.5. You still need that version for that specific program.

Downloaded and tried to install this software. But it won't work. Says:

This setup requires the .NET Framework version 1.1.4322. Please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again. The .NET Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now?

But I have netframework installed (version 3.5 in fact).

Also, there is no contact info on this website. Yet, the author is not shy about asking for donations.

Word for software authors:" I don't donate to anyone who tries to hide their identity and doesn't provide easily located contact info on their web page.
