That's unfortunately an issue related to all services like that. We shall hope they reckon their responsibility to their users and keep their servers up as much as possible or.. not use such services at all. They claim to be working on it, but that was also roughly a month ago when they acknowledged the issue. If they get it working this combination of desktop app and website could be handy (at least until Skitch releases a Windows version of their app).
