The most outrageous thing about this
NMIndexingService.exe YUCKware
is that when it runs, it prevents Windows XP from Hibernating!

Not sure if this happens on all systems, but
Google for: NMIndexingService.exe hibernate
and you find numerous posts on this.

I just rename the file to get rid of the crap entirely.

Horrible flap from Nero to put such hostile yuckware into their otherwise good product.

Nero is a giant in burning tools! but this dose not mean that it's software should run any unwanted services on out computers.
when i look @ my friends computers with nero installed i always find NMIndexing service running and consuming memory and thus resources and i get MAD. thks for the free voice -- hope Nero hears it.

Thanks, worked in Nero 7 - If I want 'em indexed, I'll do it myself!
I wish all software companies would let us choose which components to install, or not!

...don't even get me started on 'Yahoo Toolbar' - 'Install' usually checked by default :-(
At least it's (usually) a choice!
