Blogtastique is a new service by Daniel, one of the resident writers here at Ghacks, which can probably be best described as a service to help beginning and advanced bloggers. The basic concept of Blogtastique is to manage different aspects of being a blog owner for the user. The interesting part is that one of the three services offered at the website is completely free while the others are available for very reasonable prices.

The basic service is provided free of charge and aimed at the new webmaster who wants to run his own blog. It includes blog and theme installation, first time configuration and plugin advice. If you are new you are most likely overwhelmed by the sheer mass of plugins that are available for WordPress. It basically means that the Blogtastique crew is setting up and configuring the blog for you.

The pro service is a service for webmasters who need a little bit more than just the installation of a new blog. It includes theme modifications like adding buttons or advertisement, content and theme synchronization.

It furthermore contains all the features of the basic service. The price for the pro service varies between $10-100 depending on the complexity of the request.

The management service finally provides the blogger or company with a way to concentrate on the writing and marketing of the blog. Everything else can be handled by the Blogtastique team. This can include comment and spam management, monitoring and maintenance, and system administration.

Individual packages are available that fit the needs of the blogger or company perfectly. If you don't want to backup your blog regularly and hate comment spam then this can be done for you by the team.

Daniel put it this way in a email that he send me.

  • Basic features are really very basic and free stuff, like a quick blog install with theme recommendation.
  • Pro features cover everything that is a one-time action, like creating a new design, modifying a header, embedding a 3rd party widget and so on.
  • Management features are things we do on an ongoing basis. This can be anything from helping you fight spam, to moderating your comments, synchronizing guest posts and so on.

I think the idea has a lot of potential. Especially the free service which offers a great start to new bloggers. Happy customers will come back and that's probably the reasoning behind offering a free service. The process to order a package should be easier though. A contact form on the website would be a very good idea. Maybe a forum for support requests would be another good option. Lastly some testimonials would be nice.

Blogtastique is a very promising service for new and established bloggers.

You know this looks like a great service, I wish it was around when I started my blog, heck I could probably still use their services. I’m gonna turn a few people on to them. Great post.

    Why Thank you Don :)
By the way, Blogtastique has just changed a bit. Due to the variation in what people need, there are no longer packages, but services.

You don’t need to order a whole package of course, if you just need one thing, we just give you one thing :)

Just had a chat with Daniel at Blogtastique, struck me as being a charming and articulate chap.

All the best with this venture.
