Now Mr. Tech Toolkit extension has this functionality plus you can control how extensions work in Firefox.

Wow, thanks for the mention, Martin! :) It is much appreciated! *feels kind of a bit important now :P* I’m glad you find it useful!

I can also confirm that the add-on didn’t crash my laptop (4 years old now!)

I think the main reason why I have decided to uninstall after AioS testing it is because I only use a few functions of this useful plugin, and to keep the browser running smoothly, I only install what I need. :)

p/s: I didn’t know I could press Ctrl+Alt+R to restart with Quick Restart, thanks for the tip! I always just click on ‘File’->’Restart Firefox’. I see that it does have the keyboard function right next to it, how blind can one be? :)

Cagliostro I don’t think it is related. The add-on did not crash on my computer, maybe it’s another add-on that’s causing the incompatibility ?

Has somebody solved the problem with the tools menu?

At the moment the add-on keeps crashing my firefox when i install or update it, which is disturbing. I suppose this could have something to do with the not working tools menu entry?

All in one Sidebar also offers a restart function. It’s easy because you only have to restart after youve downloaded all the extensions you wanted.

toolbar buttons is handy, but if you are a serious extension addict there are two essential extensions which add this feature and many others for making working with extensions so much easier:

mr tech’s local install, and allinone sidebar.

I’ve been using the Toolbar Buttons extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2377 which has a restart button and numerous other useful buttons.
