Opera 9.27 released

Finally a new version of Opera. That was my first thought when I visited the Opera website and saw that they announced a new version of the browser there. Opera 9.27 comes roughly two months after the last release of Opera 9.2x The new version addresses three security related fixes as well as several other miscellaneous improvements.

The three security fixes are without doubt the important changes in Opera 9.27. One issue has been fixed where newsfeed prompts could cause Opera to execute arbitrary code, one where resized canvas patterns could cause Opera to execute arbitrary code and one that improved keyboard handling of password inputs.

Next to those three security fixes a BitTorrent transfer stability issue was fixed. Several other stability fixes have been implemented as well. If you use Opera 9.2x make sure you update as soon as possible to the newest version.
