Us Windoze users are lazy by nature. Going back to disparate DOS-like coding sends our little brains packing. Anything integrated into nice colorful cartoons/GUI interface will make our lives easier. I've actually just used Linux on and off because Windoze is so much more convient. This is the main problem with Linux, it's not packaged for lazy folks like me. Yeah, Rarst. I’ve actually just used Linux on and off because Windoze is so much more convient. This is the main problem with Linux, it’s not packaged for lazy folks like me.

Because wubi was working with version 7 pretty fine for a long time. :) They just decided to bundle it instead of being separate application.
