You can currently get a free version of the Steganos Security Suite 2007 with an option to update to the 2008 version for a reduced price. Let me first explain what the Security Suite is all about and detail the process of obtaining a free copy afterwards.
The Steganos Security Suite 2007 combines many tools in one suite and it’s aim is protect your data from hackers and thieves both online and offline. Six of its nine applications are based on encryption, like the email encryption or password manager. Two of the remaining three clean and delete data permanently from the system and one is an anti-theft protection that can be helpful if your computer gets stolen and the thief does go online without wiping the hard drive of the computer first.
Now, here is how you get your free serial number. Go to the following url and enter an email address in the form field. The serial number for the product will be send to it. Now visit My Steganos and create an account for the website. I did use the same email address. They send an verification email again and you have to click on the link contained within to activate the account.
Visit the downloads section of the Steganos website and pick the Steganos Security Suite 2007 from the list of products. You have to enter the serial number after installation to use the product.
Step by Step guide:
- Get your serial number send to your mail account by visiting this page.
- Register an account at the Steganos website
- Confirm the account by opening the link in the email that is send to your account
- Login to the downloads section and download the Steganos Security Suite 2007
- Enter the serial number after installation.

This doesnt work….The free key is for STEGANOS SECURITY SUITE and not for STEGANOS INTERNET SECURITY SUITE 2007 ….the internet security thing is same (for all practical purposes) as kaspesky internet security 6….again KEY DOESNT WORK…..SHOULD HAVE CHECKED IT BEFORE POSTING…..
Polymath I corrected the entry. You are right you can get a free serial for Steganos Security Suite 2007 and not Steganos Internet Security Suite 2007.
I did install and check the software but this must have somewhat slipped through.
The site is in, I think, German. Will the software be in German, English or any language?
Dante I was able to download the English version and it accepted the serial without problems. My guess is that you can use the serial for every language version, German and English have been tested and are working.
Actually, you don’t need create an account of Steganos ( that only for download software), you can direct download Steganos Security Suite 2007 Here. After setup software, just put code which you got from Steganos into software, all done!

Thanks for the free Staganos Security Suite–I followed the steps with no problems. All I can say at this point about it is that it works and that they really believe in shortcuts, since it put 11 different on my desktop and again on quick launch, plus an icon in the sys tray with 10 of the same one available there also! Before I get too deeply into it, does anybody out there know how this compares to any other similar products?
