Sorting mat be accessed with :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1/cat:all/sort:updated/

I as well preferred the former interface. They must have a reason, but I ignore which!

Btw, I had no problem downloading/installing an extension without logging in. Either they have changed that policy or they recognize users...

The new Firefox site look great but I take offence to the site making the focus to be the popular add-ons. I have no interest in the social networking sites so I don't want them splashed in my face. These are the current popular site and dominate the Firefox addon page so this will/may change in the future. Having a part of the page that shows popular extensions is fin but this just annoys.

Stefan it depends on the add-on that you download. As I said only unsigned add-ons are not available unless you login.

I don't know which webpage you visited, if I follow your link above I don't need to be logged in to download add-ons. You have to login if you want to write a comment.
