I have the microsoft intellipoint software that allows a zoom feature for any application at the click of a button. Might be worthwhile checking out.

I've had to disable Image Zoom 0.3 in FF 2.0.0.12. Maps from Google and Yahoo (at least) are not displaying correctly (broken up into square blocks that don't match up).

Some others have had problems with this plug-in also.

I posted this info on the author's blog a couple of days ago but have not heard anything back in return.

I use Image Zoom particularly with Thunderbird. The best / coolest feature of Image Zoom is that if you hold down the right-click on an image, you can use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in / zoom out to your liking. By far the best feature in my opinion.

If you use mouse gestures, you can use the zoom-in gesture (default: to the bottom right) on images to zoom in on them or on text to increase text size.
