Martin: but I still think that third-party PDF printers are a better bet because this way you have support of PDF from ANY application with printing support, not just MS Office. However if there is any feature or something extra that is present in this plugin offered by Microsoft that I am missing(as I have not used this plugin so far)?

Jawwad the main difference is the Create bookmarks using option which creates links in the PDF.

I’ve tried this last year already. And it sucks!!! PDF does not come out properly if you have intricate formating and embedded spreadsheets.

i don’t know why this is just coming up here. this plugin has been available since 2006! i was expecting some cutting-edge product.

Just wanted to suggest “CutePDF” - free for personal use. and works in any program from where you can print. This installs as a Printer driver.
