Wednesday is the day of the week where I look back at the last seven days and discover which software that has been previously mentioned at Ghacks was updated in that time. Only free and open source software is considered for this article. New applications on the other hand will initially receive their own article and will then be integrated in the software updates series.
This week was a rather slow week with only a few updates, not sure to what this can be attributed. It was relatively hard to pick a software as the update of the week but I think I will give it to the CD and DVD burner ImgBurn which introduced a lot of new features in their new version.
If you know of an application that has been updated as well but is missing in this list let me know. I will add it to the list and include it in all future posts.

Azureus 3.0.4.3 Beta 20 – a bittorrent client based on Java.
BitTorrent 6.0.2 – based on uTorrent engine, another Bittorrent client. I prefer the original.
CPU-Z 1.44 – find out all there is to know about your cpu.
Display Fusion 2.01 – a new version of the multi-monitor application.
DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.0.6.2 – copy DVDs to your hard drive and remove protections automatically.
FileZilla 3.0.7 RC1 – open source ftp client with all the functions one could possibly need.
ImgBurn 2.4.0.0 – a CD / DVD burning tool.
MediaMonkey 3.0.3.1137 Alpha 1 – a music organizer.
Mp3tag 2.39o Beta – a great program to tag mp3 files.
ooVoo 1.5.1.85 Beta – a multi-user video chat application.
Opera 9.5 Beta 9789 – a new version of this fantastic browser.
Process Lasso 2.52 – increases system responsiveness by automatically adjusting cpu priority. Ability to configure default process priorities.
QuickTime Alternative 2.4.0 – play Apple Quicktime movies (mov) without installing Quicktime.
Spyware Terminator 2.1.0.313 – this tool is as good, if not better, than the highly acclaimed Spybot and Ad-aware.
Streamripper 1.63 Beta 4 – great way to record mp3 streams to your hard drive.
SUPER 2008.build.25 – a video transcoder with lots of settings.
UltraVNC 1.0.4 RC12 – display the monitor of another user on yours.
Vista Codec Package 4.5.8 – Vista is missing some essential codecs to play multimedia files. This codec packages adds the most important ones.
WinMerge 2.7.7.4 Experimental – compare and merge text documents with this excellent software.
