Today’s software updates are delivered later than usual but don’t worry, I have not forgotten them. I’m currently working on a new blog with Everton from Connected Internet which will go live soon. I’m taking a look at the last seven days and mention all applications that have been updated in this time. Only applications that have been mentioned on my blog before are mentioned in this article, every other interesting program received its own article so that you are not missing out any great apps.

The application of the week award goes to QT TabBar which is a helpful application that adds tabbed browsing to Windows Explorer.
Adobe Reader 8.1.2 - the original, unfortunately much slower than Adobe Reader alternatives like Foxit.
Autoruns 9.10 - check which applications, services and other files are started during startup.
BitComet 0.99 - a popular Bittorrent client.
CodecInstaller 2.9.0 - list the audio and video codecs installed on a system and analyzes multimedia files and identifies missing codecs.
doPDF 5.3.250 - a free pdf converter.
Dr. DivX 2.0.1 Beta 7 - transcode videos into the divx format.
Fresh UI 8.00 - configure, tweak and optimize Windows.
GIMP 2.4.4 - a popular image editor.
IE7pro 2.1 Beta 2 - if Internet Explorer users need one add-on it is this one. It adds so many needed functions to Internet Explorer, adds Spell Checker, better tabbed browsing, ad blocker, crash recovery and lots more.
Mp3tag 2.39n Beta - a nice tool to tag mp3 files.
ooVoo 1.5.1.80 Beta - offers video calls, video messages, phone calls, chat and more.
Opera 9.50 Build 9770 Beta - a new version of this great browser. Can’t wait for the final version to come out.
QT TabBar 1.2.2 - adds tab to the Windows Explorer.
Recuva 1.10.223 - recover accidentally deleted files with this application.
Skype 3.6.0.248 - popular VOIP software.
SUMo 1.6.0.37 Beta - checks your system for old versions of applications and suggests to update those to the newest version of the software.
Sysinternals Suite - contains all those powerful Sysinternals applications like Process Explorer and Autoruns.
Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) Alpha 4 - a new alpha version of the popular Linux distribution.
vLite 1.1.1 - Create your own Windows Vista DVD, remove and add functions, patches and applications.
YPOPs! 0.9.5.3 - provides POP3 and SMTP access to Yahoo! Mail.
