It was only a matter of time before someone would up the first milestone release of Windows 7, the upcoming Microsoft operating system due out in late 2009, to the Internet. This version was uploaded to some popular torrent websites and gets currently spread there blazingly fast, once the ball is rolling there is no turning back.
Users who download Windows 7 Milestone 1 are either curious or dumb. I can’t really find another explanation for this. The curious ones probably want to just check it out and see how it feels and what has been changed while the other group probably does not recognize that it is not the real deal.
Oh, forgot a third group, the I want to have everything group that wants to have Windows 7 for the sake of having it. Back to the topic. The release has a size of 2 Gigabytes and rumors are currently spreading that those are fake releases that do not work after downloading them.
I would like to test Windows 7 but only if Microsoft would send me a computer to test it on and a legit installation file. That would be awesome, Microsoft are you listening ?
In other news, Microsoft Vista Service Pack 1 Refresh 2 and Microsoft XP Service Pack 3 Refresh 2 also made their way and are available on Bittorrent websites.

By looking at the most comments it seems the leaked image is indeed fake. But no worries sooner or later we will know. I was expecting a larger sized image than this considering the improvement MS made from WinXP to Vista in size department(not in quality).

I can confirm that it is fake; you get a 2 gig file that is all full of “0″s. It downloads far faster than it should, which should give a clue that you are actually downloading nothing.
use a virtual machine!! virtualbox is amazing!!
