I personally think that this is part of my (Western) cultural background and that people who come to my country have to accept this fact. Feels awfully much as changing history to please everyone which is not possible.

The majority should not always try to please the minorities especially when this leads to a denial of ones own cultural background.

In US, some people say Happy Holiday instead of Merry Christmas. Some companies & stores force their employees say that to customers. Sounds strange?

May be it’s because of religion differences? There are many people in USA now – not just Catholics and Protestants. And another religions have different religious celebrations.

Here in Ukraine we have Orthodox majority and Catholic minority – so Catholics are not satisfied, because they want have holidays on Catholic calendar days, not on Orthodox, which are official.
