I don't think that just using a proxy server can trick Pandora.

I've tried myself with various (6-7) proxies from a site like freeproxies.com, with the same result that you described. It shouldn't be too hard to indicate if someone tries to sneak in over a proxy.

The happy news is, I've today tricked Pandora with the program HotSpot Shield (There are already posts about it on this site). Although I had to do 3 re-installs to get it working and speeds don't allow for much more besides Pandora-listening (playback is fluid, though). But I will give Secure Tunnel and SecureIX a try, too.

Thanks to all who share their info.
