Comments on: Automatically download files with Opera

What if I want opera to download all files and save them to the default download folder, i.e. I want never have to click a confirmation or destination folder dialog. I want the files to download automatically and I mange what I want to do with the file using the Downloads panel. I can’t do every file type one by one, there are way too many, besides there are unknown types. Where can I change the default settings?

Yes you can add new file types as well, but you need to define the mime type for the file. Best best is an Internet search for that

I have a question. Some very specific file types I download are not on that list. Is there any way to add them to it?

This does not work. I download .rar files and it still pops up with that choice. Opera was my last hope for a decent browser, now it”s become a nasty browser like IE and FF. I am heading to Chrome, even tips from people like you does not work

This can be very useful for some particular file extensions like audio / video ones. Thanks for the tip.
