Nero 8 Lite and Micro released

If you are one of those users who think that the burning suite Nero is way to large and contains way to many unnecessary tools you might want to take a look at Nero 8 Lite and Nero 8 Micro. I have written earlier this year about both versions for Nero 7 and would like to take the opportunity to write about the new updated version.

Versions 8 of Nero Lite and Micro are useful for users who have Nero 8 installed on their system. Both versions strip the Nero 8 software package of most tools that are not needed for simply burning a CD or DVD.

The differences between Nero 8 Lite and Nero 8 Micro are that Micro does not contain the CoverDesigner and WaveEditor while Nero 8 Lite does. Nero 8 Micro is essentially a tool to burn CDs and DVDs without all the available tools.

The author of both tools has not updated his homepage yet to reflect the changes that have been made to this new versions. There is also no information on which tools are still included in Nero Lite or Micro. This is nevertheless an excellent way to install and use a lightweight version of Nero which is an excellent burning software.

Why go through all that? Use DeepBurner (www.deepburner.com) in the first place. It is free, and it burns. After you have installed it once, you never have to do this again: simply copy the files from the directory you have installed it into to the new computer. Computer are there to make things simpler!
