Importing and Exporting Firefox passwords can be useful if you use Firefox on more than one computer, e.g. a laptop and a desktop PC. I guess we all found ourselves in a situation where we were working on a second computer trying to remember the password of a website that we wanted to visit.
Firefox Password Exporter exports all passwords to an XML or CSV file with the option to encrypt them to increase security. (The file can still be imported to Firefox where all passwords are visible) The very same file can then be used on another computer to import the passwords into Firefox. All websites saved this way can be accessed without having to remember the password.

I would like to remind everyone again to set a master password in Firefox if other users have access to the computer. If you do not have a master password everyone may export the password list from your account.
If a master password is set it will ask for that password before starting the password export. The extension can be accessed by clicking on the button Import / Export Passwords under Options > Security.

I added Firefox while using the old Mozilla Suite. It asks for a master password but I never set one. Where did it come from and can I simply reset it without damaging my saved passwords in the Suite?
