Then I tried Foobar and it just changed the way I listen the music... Firstly I wanted it to feel and look in a way winamp does, but after some time become totally addicted to foobar itself. The main reason, why I like Foobar so much, is it's customizability. It takes some good time to understand how things work there, and how to change them, but after spending that time you are rewarded with player, that behaves in a way _you_ want it to. I use "heavyweight" Foobar, with lots additional components and advanced interface, because functionality is a main point for me. What I dislike in Foobar is that it's Windows only... I use XMPlay, which is marvelous and does not install itself (extract and run). Some winamp plugins are also supported. That's worth the look !
