Firefox is a great browser which is easy to customize and expand by using so called extensions. One major difficulty for inexperienced users is to find the extensions that they would like to use because there are so many of them and navigating the Mozilla website is not as user friendly as it could be.
One way to counter this is to offer users the so called extension pack basic which means that several popular extensions are installed at once on a computer with Firefox. This is a great way to add a number of the most popular extensions without having to download them separately.
The Firefox extension pack basic contains the following Firefox extensions:
- AdBlock Plus
- CustomizeGoogle
- Download Statusbar
- Fasterfox
- OpenBook
- PDF Download
- Searchbar Autosizer
- Stop or Reload button
- Tab Mix Plus
I personally use four, Adblock Plus, Customize Google, Download Statusbar and Tab Mix Plus, of the nine available extensions of the pack.
