I have heard about Musicmesh before but did not find the time to take a closer look at their service until now. The website is one of those web 2.0 sites who all look and feel the same. Musicmesh offers a related music search engine which connects music albums that are somehow related. One album is always centered and other music albums that float around it. If you move the mouse above one of them you can read the title and artist. A click centers this album and displays new related albums. This means that you can explore new albums by simply clicking on them to find more albums that you might like.
It would not make much sense if you would not be able to listen to those songs, would not it ? Musicmesh integrates services from other websites , namely Youtube, Wikipedia and Amazon, into their site. Next to that is a review pane which offers reviews of the particular album or band. The best thing so far is that if you select a album you will see the tracklist of that album in the right pane.
Clicking on one of the songs loads a Youtube video playing the song. You get a very good impression of it that way. The music video will still be playing even though you navigate to a different album. The Wikipedia link is not that useful because it is embedded in a very small area. It is however possible to right-click that entry and select to open it in a new tab.

The database contains a large amount of artists and albums, even those that are lesser known. Don’t except to find to many unknown ones though.
