Search for and download mp3 with Clickster

Using p2p networks such as Emule or Bittorrent to download mp3 files is not as dangerous as the Music Industry tries to make it appear but there is still the chance that you might face consequences if you share copyrighted music. A much easier and safer way would be to simply use Google to find and download the music that you like. The Music Industry somehow does not seem to care that Google indexes more copyrighted mp3 files than the total number that is available on all p2p networks combined.

Anyways Clickster is a freeware that uses search engines to find mp3 files. All found mp3 files are displayed in a list and you are free to play and download them. The location of the file is displayed as well in case you would like to head out and check it out. Clickster is really easy to use. Just run it after installation and enter a name of an artist or song and the search begins. It can take a couple of seconds before the first results appear, don’t worry at this stage.

Once the first songs appear you can play them immediately. You have to stop the search or wait until it is finished before you can download them though. I did a search for a relative unknown band in the example below and it still found about 10 songs. As you can see the size of the song is given as information as well which can be used as an indicator for the quality of the mp3.
