Wap, Print, Proxy and Myspace Downloader Announcement

I thought I compile all the latest changes and new features in one big announcement instead of writing a single article for each of them. I have added two features to ghacks which might be useful to some visitors at least. The first is that I enabled WAP access to ghacks which enables users with mobile devices to read the latest news right from their device.

The second new feature is a print function. It is not working correctly yet but I’m in contact with the author and the issue will be fixed soon. The print function which is available on all single articles pages makes it possible to print the content of the articles without the sidebars.

I have come to the decision to offer the myspace song download script on another url so that everyone will be able to download songs from myspace by simply pasting the bands homepage. The script is available at unblockr.

Last but not least I have changed the proxy that was used at Unblockr for the last days. I think the new one is even faster and displays more websites correctly.

Ok so like my proxy it seems that on the MySpace Mail when you’re reading a message it displays wierd. I can’t figure out why but I didn’t pour over the coding for very long. Example here

Sometimes it will do it on the Inbox aswell.

And sorry I never got back to you on testing those proxies.

The new proxy gives me an error when trying to enter websites that require flash or javascript.

i.e.: http://www.meebo.com

Arcan3 yes that is true. It currently removes all scripts that may interfere with anonymity. I asked the developer if it would be possible to allow scripts.

I think most users want to use it to access sites and not be anonymous.
