Well , on the subject of Vista activation here’s a -fairly- recent article :
http://www.securityfocus.com/columnists/423
Were potential Vista buyers aware of this ?
Glad I’m reading all this from the sidelines .ie:NOT a Vista customer.
@ Martin , hope you don’t mind the link.:)
Linux anyone ?

Bondurant I do not mind at all, it is always nice if readers like you comment and add something useful to the my posts.

The only reason I’m using Vista is because the majority of users who visit my site will sooner or later switch to it. I personally want to make the switch to Linux and use XP for everything else.

Vista only for testing things out and trying software specifically designed for that os.

Why not just run your own KMS server, and activate your Windows Vista against it? Details here:

@bondurant:

When somebody uses crack and hack to use the craploaded MS Stuff…you seriously think they are so bright to understand a EULA in the first place lest understanding the implications???? IMHO MS users are as crappy as the OS itself is!

I honestly understand your quandary but could you point out any incident whereby any run of the mill home user has been sued for cracking windows or any os for that matter.

Why the hassle. Stick to old windowsXP or W2K for some windows based applications if not possible avoid it. Esle use Linux and encourage others to do so. If people keep curious on Vista on the excuse of use it becos somebody may, will always in the Microsoft windows hell hole as an addict never get rid of the crack.
