Opera 9.10 final has been released

A new version of the (not so popular but great) browser Opera has been released and can be downloaded from the main ftp site for windows, mac and linux. The official website has not been updated yet which means you should have enough time to download the file you need before the masses slow down the servers.

I could not find any announcements or release notes which means that I can’t write about the changes in this version to the prior version 9.02 but I was not able to spot major differences doing a quick look around. If you are looking for a fast browser that uses less ram than Firefox but offers lots of functionality that Firefox offers with its extensions Opera might be the ideal browser for you.

The main enhancment is the phishing filter. I must admit that I too am surprised at no formal announcement yet.

There are no announcements and changelogs simply because it is not officially released yet. There might be a last minute change, who knows. Stranger things have happened. Putting a file on ftp is no the same thing as making an official release.
