Playstation 3 in the news

The PS3 has arrived in North America. The crazy thing is, if you ask me, that you read and hear more about shootings, shortages and systems that are not working than from the number one thing that should leave everything behind: Games that are fun to play. Did anyone actually buy the Playstation 3 for himself or did they all want to make a fortune by selling the system on Ebay ? With fake biddings reaching a million and more dollars Ebay decided to pull the plug and allow only auctions where the seller was able to prove that he did own the system at that time.

This is by far the craziest launch I ever witnessed. How far do people go for a gaming machine ? I decided to collect the most interesting articles in the categories Crimes, Hardware and Games. Please add your links if you want to join the fun.

yeah I usually wait till the price to drop, and someone to take the Xbox,Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, to the Pawn Shop then go buy one loaded full of music & game data :)

I never heard of so much blood and violence before. This is very strange.

I stick with my modded Xbox for now and buy a Wii when it comes out. I will by a Xbox 360 in the future to replace my modded xbox. I use the xbox mainly to watch movies, not to play games.

PS3 owners need not worry. As you can see in this comparison video from Gamevideos.com, both games look exactly the same. Even though the 360 has a 30fps advantage over the PS3, you can hardly tell the difference. The 360 version does look a little sharper, but the only time you can truly notice an FPS difference is when it’s slowed down to 25% speed. The 360 keeps running smooth and the PS3 can be seen as being very choppy. At high speeds however, I wouldn’t worry. See for yourself.
