My ipod is frozen on the plug into itunes screen but when i plug it into itunes it doesnt recognize the ipod… Does anybody know how to fix this?

Ok, so when I was walking home listening to my iPod as usual, I turned my iPod Nano off and went to plug it into my iHome, I noticed that the screen stayed on the same song, but it won’t play or do anything, it’s completely FROZEN. It won’t even turn off! I’ve only had this iPod for a couple of months and it’s supposedly brand new.

My iPod froze while I was selecting a song, and it is stuck between the song list and the “Now playing” screen. I’ve tried rebooting it several times, but it hasn’t done anything. I have the iPod Nano 2G and I’ve had it for almost five years. Is it a common problem, should I get it checked out at the Apple store, or should I think about getting a new one? I am devistated, I love my iPod and I use it all the time!

This didn’t work for me- my brand new iPod touch froze last night and it’s stuck at the apple logo, the loading symbol and a black background. Could anyone help me out?

Hey, i had a different problem with my ipod touch i haven’t had it for that either and then it started saying i had 2 download a new itunes after i had been using another one for all this time. But when i did that it started saying that on of my song files wasn’t there so i just decided to delete the song. After that it started saying update your ipod and when i said no it came up with error so then i decided to say yes and then it turned its self off then restarted and came up with the apple sign but with a loading bar under it right after that it froze and then it said it wasn’t connected to my computer anymore even tho it was. I don’t know what 2 do somebody PLZ HELP!!!! and the ipod is a ipod touch 32GB no camera.

Hey, thanks, my ipod nano 2nd generation had froze up and wasnt doing anything, hitting the center and menu at the same time did the trick for me :) i was thinking i might have to finally upgrade but i guess not :) Thanks!

Hi, Thank you for the tips. My IPOD that had stopped playing (Progress bar was frozen and no audio sound was heard) although it was in the play mode.

I just tried holding the Hold button and then the Menu + Middle Button until Apple Logo was shown, this i repeated 5 times and music started playing.

I have a 30GB ipod which has 900 songs on it, nothing else but it won’t let me add any more. I have had loads more songs on it previously but decided to change the type of music I listened to. I have put new music onto my computer and it says it is transfering the track but will only do 900 then says its full. Please help. Thanks

This really helped me a lot! I bought this iPod just when it came out so it was like 600 bucks! And I was so shocked when it froze! I pressed the menu and center button and it really worked! Thanks!

hey I’ve got an iPod touch 3G, it has the same error as the rest of the ipods on here, more or less. it’s jailbroken too. i reset it while it was plugged into my laptop because i wanted to charge it, and it froze. i’ve tried the trick to hold the menu and sleep button above the camera multiple times and it works but it still needs charging… i charge it, and when it has enough battery to display the apple logo (then the green poison logo) it freezes and doesn’t return to my background -.- help please lol:P

never mind i fixed it!!!!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!! but i suggest you stick with the first method (toggle hold, then hold down menu and center button) whether its old or new, since mine was old and it worked.

Hey, i just bought a used iPod Nano 3rd generation with 4GB on it, on saturday. Its friday and up til now its been working virtually perfectly! Even last night i was listening to music and setting up an alarm for 7am. When i woke up the next morning i grabbed my iPod and tried to check the time on it, but the screen wouldnt light up or anything, it stayed black. Then i plugged it into my computer thinking it might need to be charged even though i already charged it fully the previous night. When i plugged it in, the screen lit up. Now it’s white with black lettering saying “5:59″ with the lock symbol and battery symbol showing how much power is left. but its not 5:59 and it not on lock. what do i do? ive been wanting this for a long time and spent alot on it.Please help.. T_T

I’m having similar problems to most, have the “older” version of ipod touch. Went to update today,told me to restore I did,and got that screen with the itunes logo and the usb cord, I’ve tried to do reset using home/on off, plug in the dock, then hold home while in itunes, but now NOTHING is happening in itunes,its not even recognizing the ipod at all!! I’m extremely frustrated and have been looking at ways to fix this for HOURS!!!! I set up a “time” for an apple agent to call me,but I fear I’m going to throw this thing across the room before that happens… I don’t even know what to do! Help!!!
