Jönköping, Sweden, November 30th to December 3rd, Dreamhack. The place the biggest lan party on earth takes place. The aim of the organization for the winter event (there is also a summer event) is 10000 attenders. Last winter saw more than 7000 attenders and it is most likely that the 10000 goal will be reached. Why I’m writing about this ? Well, I’m considering going there, if you see the pictures and videos of previous events you know why. This is unbelievable.
Many of the best European E-sport stars will attend the event and some great tournaments are taking place:
- Pro gaming: The Nordic finals of Cyberathlete Professional League, CPL. Counter-Strike 1.6 and Quake III!
- World GameMaster Tournament and DreamHacks official game tournaments: Counter-Strike 1.6, FIFA 06, Need For Speed, WarCraft 3 and StarCraft!
- Unofficial tournaments organized by participants.
- Demo compos.
- Our sponsors are arranging their own tournaments and games in their booths, on stage and online.

As you can see, no time for sleep at this event. Plus you will be in one of the finest countries on earth – Sweden. Many beautiful women (and men), great landscape and history. Hi, im doing my final year project in highschool on the topic “The History of Computer Games & How you people Socialize today”.
