This will no longer work anymore b/c myspace uses RTMPE secure streaming for the files they are FLV audio files and cannot be saved unless you know you to rip from rtmpe which is impossible. the only way that I would think you could do is record from your sound card (Stereo mix) just play it a few times to get the volumes right then hit record on a wave editor like audacity or goldWave then hit play on the myspace player. when its done playing cut off anything you dont want, save file. Done. Use the LAME mp3 encoder or DBpoweramp to make it an mp3. it wont be as good as ripping the stream but at least you have the song.

thats ok I have found other methods for downloading music off myspace but I only dl it from myspace as a last resort. try file2HD everyone.

Ive even tried to use a url snooper prog with no luck but i think if you open up one of the .xml files that are in temp internet files folder in a text editor like notepad you might find something that refers to an mp3 file i dunno, im not really good at stuff like this xml hacking stuff

I tried to download a song from here;

But it doesn’t seem to work… :(

I’d really like to get it to download properly though, because the songs are really cool but nobody seems to know when the CD will be out and he won’t respond to my messages.

I tried using Goldwave to record it, but my internet is slow, so the stream pauses all the time and screws up the recording and I’m not really very good at editing stuff.

i think tom patched this because i tried this prog on a german song its gummibear by gummibar, its german but its a cool tune, i actually had to record it with my goldwave wav editor like thru my sound card on stereo mix and the song stopped then it started back up where it left off but i was able to seamlessly edit it back so i now have that on my ipod

greed89 i got this error too i tried the prog today to dl this german gummy bear song and i got the netstream play error failed Processed 3,660 bytes from RTMP server…’ but this value doesnt change exactly the same as your situation
i cant find that song anywhere but myspace

I think this is a great program but for some reason when i click download for the song i want the grey box says ‘netstream.play failed’ and down the bottom it says ‘Processed 3,660 bytes from RTMP server…’ but this value doesnt change

any ideas or similar problems?

i have the feeling that you wan download via myspace Mp3 gopher songs that are not already downloadable from the myspace page… i am right ?
