Stuck in disk mode by itself. States do not disconnect. Battery was charged, but appears to go to fully charged to nothing. How to fix. Thanks

For my now very old 30G ipod, pressing “menu” and the centre of the dial at the same time for about 5 seconds, got it out of this mode and turned it off……turn it back on and its back where it should be………

Thanks! I just got my IPOD back from being fixed and this was the mode it was in. I was all ready to go back to the stoore and say they hadn’t fixed it. I’m glad I found this site. Saved me some embarassment.

Worked like a charm. Never seen the disk mode screen before, and none of the advice on other sites worked – couldn’t understand most of it. This worked a treat and my iPod is back to normal with no loss of music. You are a star!
