Open Movie, what does that mean ? It means that the movie has been created with open source tools and that all production files are available under a creative commons license. Graphics and sound of Elephants Dream look incredible but the story is somewhat confusing. I guess the movie aims more towards a presentation of what can be done with open source tools which is fine with me.
The movie is available in many different resolutions and formats starting with avi, mpeg4, ac3 5.1 sound in 1920 and a incredible size of 815 megabytes. The movie is also available in 1024 which reduces the size to 425 megabytes.
That´s not all though, we have the quicktime H264, AAC stereo versions in 1024 (311 megabyte), 720 (145 megabyte) and 480 (99 megabyte). You can download a making of documentary in various formats, dvd extras and complete disk images to burn on a dvd.
