If you are by chance collecting email addresses or keen on receiving a free @msn.com email you may want to take a look at the following page. You are normally not able to get a msn email unless you purchase their internet service. Follow the link to get a msn email for free. It links to a Microsoft Passport website where you can register your account, and by doing so, you do get the msn.com email address.

You could use this email as a backup email for instance, the good thing is that you do not need to provide a second email for verification. Use it while it's available. I read that @msn.com email users get preference over others when applying for betas, but I'm not sure if that is true or just a rumor.

To fill out the form, enter your desired username for the email address and a password. The password needs to consist of at least six characters, with more being advised by a password strength meter that is automatically updated whenever you change the password.

Enter the e-mail address and password you want to use for your MSN account. We strongly recommend that you choose a question and secret answer, and an alternate e-mail address, to help you recover your password if you forget it.

You also need to select a security question and answer for password reset purposes. If you want, you can add an alternate email address here as well for the very same purpose.

The same page displays a captcha code that you need to enter before you can click on the continue button to proceed with the msn account creation. If you can't read it properly click on the new link to create a new captcha code, or audio to listen to it. And that's all there is to creating a MSN email account.

A second page is displayed after the first in which you need to enter personal and home location information. You can sign in to your Microsoft account afterwards using the email address and password you have selected.

Update: The page is still available in May 2013 and email addresses do get created just as they were before.

Had been using MSN pay for service but since the basic price has skyrocketed, I just want the email which is supposed to be free. However, when signing up for it I discovered that I can’t use my old email address! Any help for that?

Seems like a good idea, but she begins by talking about proposals and then switches her terminology to “report” for the remainder of the clip. Proposals and reports are, of course, very different writing genres and so this may end up confusing people.
