Opera 9 has been finally released to the public. The browser is fast, efficient and comes with many new features that are worth a closer look. It supports bittorrent and downloads torrent files automatically (with the option to handle torrent files with an external application). Widgets have been added to Opera as well making it very flexible, we will most likely see lots of community widgets for Opera in the future. (Similar to the extensions of firefox).
We are able to customize Opera for every website, we could allow popups or cookies for instance for one site and disallow them for all other sites. You will be able to block content like images or advertisement on websites, add search engines and preview tabs. It has heaps of new features, you can save the current state of all tabs as a session and continue that session at a later time or undelete closed tabs from the bin.
Take a look at the changelog if you want to know all the changes from 8.5x to Opera 9.
If you do want to test Opera 9 without installing it try Opera Portable which does not need installation.
