Game XP freeware

Game XP is intended to optimize the performance of your computer for gaming needs. It tweaks and modifies various XP settings (cache settings, CPU priority etc.) and optionally disables or stops several Windows services that are usually not needed. The program does not require any installation, and does not need to be running at all times.

The application stops lots of services that one normally does not need, take a look at the disabled ones here. But it does not only disable services it also changes lots of settings like video card settings, internet / network settings and File System & Memory / Performance Settings. The software also features a windows default button to change the settings back to their original values.

Great for everyone who is not that proficient with changing settings in a windows xp environment.

I have never posted anything here, but a word of warning, this program has serious potential to screw your system royally. Read the forums at this place, it’s the general concensus that this program can mess you up, and it did me. Proceed with serious caution.

  2. Martin says:

Mike you are right. People should take a look at the disabled services for example. Make sure you don“t need any of them before you proceed.

  3. Lobo Schmidt says:

The program says it has a “restore system utilitie”, so I tested it and the game crashed.

Then, I used the so called “restore system” to get my previous configuration.

    But the game keep crashing!

Stay away from this! A word of advice.

  4. Administrator says:

What this software needs is a function to enable / disable certain settings that it optimizes.
