Rapidshare.de, beloved for its content and hated for its timelimit. Hacks how to circumvent the time limit have been discovered and been put to rest by updates to its scripts. There is nevertheless a constant strife for additional hacks that remove the time limit and let you download without the waiting time.
A new trick was posted at the computerhelpforum.org today. Its fast and easy, all you need to do is follow this three steps:
1. Visit the page of the file that you want to download.
2. Click on free.
3. Enter the following line of code into your address bar and remove everything else
javascript:alert(c=1)
Hit enter. A popup showing 1 should appear. click ok, the window disappears and you have to enter some letters and click start download.

I probably forgot to say that I do that as well. I clean out ALL cookies, history, recent docs, and also do a search for any file starting with “rapid*” and delete everything.
Then I run FOUR utility programs (Tuneup 2008, System Tools, XP Repair Pro and the latest CCleaner) and after that completely shutdown EVERYTHING by unplugging from the wall for at least 3-5 minutes. Then I reboot pc and modem, but keep getting the same error message.
BTW, I also clean out the registry with above programs.
I also posted this request on another site and someone stated “You need to ensure, which ever web browser you are using, you are allowing both Java and Javascript for Rapidshare and all Rapidshare IP names/addresses it is using”.
I use Windows XP SP2 and IE7 (have tried Firefox but it does not work well for ME).
Perhaps someone can tell me step by step (I have extremely little pc knowledge) how to set Java and Javascript as mentioned above.

andrestart my computer and turn off the modem ..wait for 30sec, then turn on and i only had wait wor 2.2min..

Very nice trick. I created a bookmark in my Firefox called “RapidHack” and put it on the toolbar, then made the link “javascript:alert(c=1)” so that I can just click that when downloading from RapidShare and voila! No need to wait :)
Doesn’t work the counter does go down to one sec but straight after you get a javascript no enabled error….

They’re not that stupid. there’s a counter running on the server side as well. If you rush your client-side timer you’ll still have to wait for the server-side timer or you’ll get an error message.

BTW, you can type javascript:void(c=1) and avoid the alert message. Still, it’ll get you nowhere.

1.- Download CheatEngine
2.- Use Enable SpeedHack, set speed to, let’s see, 16: it turns every “real second” into “16-rapidshare-seconds”. Not bad, uh?

rapidshare has recently patched its script so it no longer works..
I have checked all the possible workarounds, Hacks, even the Cheat Engine trick.
CONCLUSION: None of the tricks work.
BOTTOM-LINE: Rapidshare.com (Not Rapidshare.de) is a very decent & best site currently.
One should not employ such tricks to shave off a few seconds.

You can always refresh your IP after downloading a file from RS. Try this:
1. Click Start
2. Click run
3. In the run box type cmd.exe and click OK
4. When the command prompt opens type the following. ENTER after each new line.
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
exit
You can then shave off those sec remaininig by using >>
javascript:alert(c=0)

It appears that those of us with a single issued ip will not benefit from a hack or trick. If someone has a way to change between ip address that may work, I tried hide ip, invisible broswer, other proxies, leechers etc… with a single ip it will not work, Anyone know how to change or trick the system into thinking you changed ip addresses?
