Another Rapidshare Timelimit Hack

Rapidshare.de, beloved for its content and hated for its timelimit. Hacks how to circumvent the time limit have been discovered and been put to rest by updates to its scripts. There is nevertheless a constant strife for additional hacks that remove the time limit and let you download without the waiting time.

A new trick was posted at the computerhelpforum.org today. Its fast and easy, all you need to do is follow this three steps:

1. Visit the page of the file that you want to download.
2. Click on free.
3. Enter the following line of code into your address bar and remove everything else

javascript:alert(c=1)

Hit enter. A popup showing 1 should appear. click ok, the window disappears and you have to enter some letters and click start download.

Check out this Rapidshare hack for additional ways of defeating the Rapidshare timelimit.

  1. Wow. Didn’t know you would be reading my site ATM. Got to add ghacks.net to my blogroll.

    *clicks*

  2. Martin says:

I like your site, enough said :P
Added you to my partner sites as well :)

  3. Lorissa says:

    This doesn’t work!

  4. Martin says:

    well it works for me

  5. Frank says:

    For me also

  6. Lorissa says:

Well, I wonder if the two of you realize that you wouldn’t need to do this with the first file you download from RapidShare, only the second and subsequent files?

Entering “javascript:alert(c=1)” to download the first file desired doesn’t do anything. You wait the required seconds and then enter the three characters and click “start download”. That works either way providing you aren’t using a proxy that has been used by someone else within the hour (or more) wait restriction between files.

Trying the “example” given within the article at computerhelpforum.org proves nothing since this would be your first file to download and that’s not where the hourly wait restriction starts.

It doesn’t work and that’s all there is to it.

  7. Martin says:

    6. I tried it with the first download, you are right. As I described I saw a countdown of 3x seconds, I entered the javascript, hit enter, the popup appeared, clicked ok and i could enter the characters immediatly and the countdown dissappeared.

  8. Lorissa says:

As you should know by now Martin (Jyhad), I’m always right. :)

  9. pumix says:

That is just plain silly. No offence. So you’re saying instead of waiting for 30 seconds I have to go fumbling and “hack” that waiting time? who even cares about the waiting time?
The hourly download limit is the real (and only) problem with rapidshare, and unless you’re downloading your insulin off rapidshare that shouldn’t matter much either..

  10. Lorissa says:

No, that’s not what was said at all. This procedure actually saves you absolutely nothing. In fact, it’s totally a waste of time and the space given it here and everywhere.

  11. FakeFx says:

I tried it just now, and it seems it doesn’t work anymore. I tested this in Firefox and Opera, and nothing. :(

    Oh well.

  12. Lorissa says:

FakeFx – feel free to read the entire thread. This NEVER worked!

  13. james diligent says:

  14. Tharshan says:

but some times saying a error Message !

  15. soumya says:

d’ah @james if u want to d/l files dere are lots of lots of proxyservers which give u diffrnt ips and ports..chnge ur ip address goin to da proxy settings or downloading rapidleecher..n d/l file aftr file anothr file..anothr…n go on

    Hi all!
I’m from Hungary, sorry my bad english….
I have TDSL with non-fix ip. When i finish download from rapids, quick discpnnect then reconnect to inet. i’ts working! D’nt need wait, only 47 sec. With this script : javascript:alert(c=1) reduce wait to 1 sec :)
    ALWAYS WORKING!
Tipp: make shortcut to rapids site to shortc bar. Clik right and select properties. Paste into URL cell this script: javascript:alert(c=1).
No more copy-paste-Enter keys:) Just clik on the new rapid key on the shortc toolbar:)
    PEACE from Hungary:)

  17. Iceman says:

I tried the rapidLeecher and it keeps giving me the error :-9 =subscript out of range

    please advice…
    thanks

  18. mememomo says:

    nice job

  19. nombril says:

I don’t understand the fuss. I wait a couple of seconds between downloads( rapid share), not a hour or even minits. I download as much as I wan’t. All I do is clear my cookies, turn off my modem, count to ten and turn it back on, then i’m free to download again.with out the long wait. I don’t know wy this works, but it does.

  20. Martin says:

nombril this rapidshare trick is working because you probably recieve a new ip when you reconnect so rapidshare does not know that you already were downloading files minutes before.

  21. MeMan says:

Qualifies Martin’s post…Nombril, your modem is being assigned a new IP from your ISP provider. Most ISP’s usually have more customers than they have IP addresses. So instead of assigning everyone one specific address they usually “roll” the IP addresses as they are requested by thier clients. So when you are gettin a new IP its like RapidShare sees you as a completely different client.

  22. MeMan says:

Oh and Larissa this does/did work to get rid of the 45 second wait time. Its a very simple javascript injection which redefines the timer variable. This was not meant to allow multiple downloads by bypassing the 75 minute wait period.

  23. nombril says:

Did you tru just turning the switch in back of your modem off, the back on again, wait a couple of seconds (to re login) and you wait 1 min instead of 77 min.

  24. nombril says:

I’m senile, I’m sorry I posted before reading. OK how come the javascrip works for some but not for others? Thank you.

  25. friz says:

hi can anybody iv me a user name and password for any of this sites

  26. raj says:

hi is there anyway we can download mutliple files in rapidshare

  27. bitch says:

hi might there be the possibility that im a FUCKIN leech who wants to use others accounts. fags raj and friz. go fuck yourselves.

  28. Idowatiwant says:

“I’m senile, I’m sorry I posted before reading. OK how come the javascrip works for some but not for others? Thank you.”

Having javascript enabled in your browser might be an advantage.. It does work, well for me Actually: “javascript:alert(c=0)” worked, i found it on some other site.. But you know, works for some doesn’t work for others..

  29. Saifee says:

i have done as it was said. got to the download link, clicked on free and the next page where there is waiting time displayed appeared.after that on that page i put the java script on the address bar and then a msgbx apprd.i cliked ok and nothing hppnd.

  30. BinaryBrother says:

This hack DOES work, and some of us ARE impatient enough to use it when the timer is set for 5 or 6 mins…

  31. kernelito says:

dudes, this thing ain’t workin’ first tried on firefox than on IE7, nothin’ happens

  32. Lauren says:

I tried it all, but when I click the “1″ message, it disappears, why is that?

  33. Asuka Aki says:

    Bypass Rapidshare Time Limite:

If you have a modem with phone connection, turn it off and on again. You get a new ip every time.

If you have a cable modem there is a hack I use, you can read about it here: http://hacksforu.blogspot.com/2007/10/change-static-ip.html
This is not the renew, release ip (that doesn’t work by the way.)

Hi! Something happened with my rapidshare downloads. I always get the error message that JavaScript is not enabled, although it is. I tried both with Mozilla and Explorer. The problem appeared today, before it all worked well. Can this have something to do with firewall settings? I’m getting desperate. Please help! Thanks, Anikó

  48. ddk1979 says:

    Hi all

I used to have a rapidshare premium account until I lost my job due to down-sizing/retrenchments of the company I worked for after they were taken over by a large corporation.

I now use the FREE rapidshare download but it is really getting me down.
I don’t mind TOO MUCH that one has to wait between d/l – I can understand that this is how they want to get one to purchase a premium account.

However, what irritates the hell out of me is that, I select the free option on the main screen, wait for 1.8 to 2.2. minutes to obtain a d/l ticket, enter the CORRECT code (captcha), and then RS says I entered an incorrect code and must try again. I retry and get the same message over and over again.

It has reached the stage where I am lucky to get even ONE succesful d/l per day.

Have tried Universal Share Downloader, Orbit and Cryptload but get the same results even with them.

Did not try Onspeed as I do not know where to get it – perhaps someone can provide me with a link.

By the way, I forgot to mention that after I select the “free” option and it then goes to the second page, an error mesagge flashes for a second or two saying “Please enable javascript”. Then it disappears and is replaced with the timer that starts to count down.

I downloaded and installed the latest Java, but it has made no difference.

Need your help to solve this problem. Perhaps there is a setting on my pc that needs adjustment – anyone have any ideas regarding this???

Waiting in anticpation for someone who can help me solve this.

    Thanks.

  49. may capitolism burn in hell! says:

    Hi ddk1979,

Close down all your programs. Open IE, then then clear all your cookies in internet options. Turn off your computer completely at the wall, including the modem and wall socket. Leave for about ten seconds. Turn your modem on, and about 30 seconds, when your modem kicks back on line, turn on your computer. When everything has been booted up, simpley go into rapidshare.

You should get right in. Rapidshare’s system works on a IP address system. When you switch off your modem at the wall, your old IP address is deleted, once you delete you cookies.

Go for it, let me know, and let’s screw those selfish pigs.
