Rick Dangerous online

Maybe some of you still know the game Rick Dangerous , its likely if you ever owned an Amiga or Atari Computer back in the 90´s. The game is an addictive jump and run type of game where you steer Rick, who has some similarities with Indiana Jones, through a temple. Its small and fun, look for yourself. Oh, it needs flash to run.

Pay attention to the loading screen as it will tell you how to control the little men that looks somewhat like a cartoon copy of Indiana Jones.

You use the cursor keys to move left and right, jump and duck. These are the most important controls. When you hold down the CTRL key the keys get different functionality. You shoot your gun with the up key now, drop a bomb with the down key, and swing a stick left or right with the same keys. Those are all the controls you need in the game, and there are no options available to change them.

Please note that this is one of those hardcore classic games that is very hard to play. You die instantly for instance if an enemy touches you. There are also traps everywhere which will kill you instantly as well. This game is evil, believe me. You sometimes cannot see whats underneath your current position. More often than not, you fall right into a spike trap or something like that that will kill you instantly.

Here is a video walkthrough of the game on the original Amiga system. Please note that this is a speedrun, the objective of the game here is to beat it in as little time as possible.

Here is a screenshot of the Flash version of Rick Dangerous.
