Ipod Socks

Apple never ceases to amaze its customers with new fancy ideas for their iPod series. The latest installment is known as iPod Socks and comes in six different colors.

They advertise it as a “stylish, fun, and practical way to protect your iPod.” Take a look at the iPod Socks

Update: It is interesting to note that Apple iPod Socks are still available in the official Apple Store. And judging from the 1124 reviews at the time of writing, they are definitely a popular store item. Here is how the socks look like. They are available in six colors, and compatible with the majority of Apple iOS devices that have been released in recent years.

Compatible devices include the recently released iPhone 4s, the 4th generation iPod Touch, the iPod Nano and even iPod Minis.

Each pack consists of six socks which may seem like overkill at first. Most Apple users may have multiple devices which they can use the socks for. Plus they have enough spare socks in case one gets lost or damaged beyond repair.

User reviews and ratings range from a total waste of money and time to incredible useful and even perfect. Main points of criticism include that some models tend to slide out of the sock quite frequently, and that it is not possible to control the player when it is inside, so that it is always necessary to take it out when the controls need to be accessed.

Positive comments mention that the socks are stylish and soft, very comfortable to wear and machine washable.

It all boils down to personal taste though. Apple iOS users who want to control their device without having to take it out of the protective sleeve should look for other sleeves. Users who like the style may want to get the socks for their devices.
