With the Apple Video Ipod in stores come the first user reviews about the new playtoy. Betapundit collected a list of “things” that you should know about the Video Ipod before you buy one.

Here are the most important factors for you:

  • No firewire. Its not possible to transfer data using firewire.
  • No power cable. Only way to recharge is the USB cable.
  • Playtime averages around 3h
  • The Video Ipod is harddrive based, means its more likely to skip while playing

It should be noted in my post that the 5g can charge through the firewire, just not transfer. Nonetheless, still disappointing.
