I found a page that hosts a file searching bookmarklet for the google standard and advanced search page. Its compatible with Internet Explorer and Firefox, you simply drag the bookmarklet into your bookmark / favorites bar, to start it go to your favorite google site and click on the bookmarklet. It then asks you to enter a filetype and in a second textfield a search term.
Once you have made your selection the information will be entered into the Google search page for you and Submit will be clicked for you.
