We are proud to announce that our Google File Search tool “Share it” has reached final status. We decided to provide two versions, one with installer and one that you simply unpack and run.
A few changes have been made in the final version. First, we included another torrent search engine, you now have the choice between four prominent torrent search engines to find torrent files.
We added three new “translate” proxies who let you surf the web anonymously by hiding your real ip to the site you want to reach.
Three additional bonus features have been implemented, Domain Dossier check (for site details check), DNS Tools whois ( for a quick check) and DNS Ping (to see if target is up and running)

I get the error “Component ‘XPCEng.ocx’ or one of its dependencies is not correctly regestered: a file is missing or invalid” whenever i try to run the program
which version did you download ? the installer one or the other one ?
i suppose you tried the one that simply unpacks, if thats the case, try the installer, this should help with this problem
if its the un-install version..register it .. its in the needed files folder
hit start “run”
regsvr32 (path to folder)/XPCEng.ocx
as in example:
regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\XPCEng.ocx
I get the error “Component ‘XPCEng.ocx’ or one of its dependencies is not correctly regestered: a file is missing or invalid whenever i try to run the program.
I get the same error with or with out the installer…
hmmm ok first UNINSTALL the one you downloded..
double checked this one… it should register them again..try this version and get back to me
http://www.codelinx.net/GFS-install.rar
see if that works
Can i run it on a mac?
New Install rar above post !!
just to add.. here is a program that will register and unregister dll’s , ocx
if your still having trouble…just select the problem ocx or dll and click
i hope the above new install has solved it… but ..we shall see
i compiled the regunreg code…and its 100% free of anything malicious
so if you want to try register them till i resolve the problem…then download
http://www.codelinx.net/RegUnReg.rar
size 63kb
regards
I had the same issue above, tried the version posted in the comments and it worked fine.
Is it possible that you might release the source code and this awsome program will be ported to Linux/UNIX (UNIX includes mac)
tried both, same problem no XPCEng.ocx
I had the same problem with the top version but when i uninstalled it and installed the one from http://www.codelinx.net/GFS-install.rar it worked perfectly :)
works now…pretty cool app btw :)
I get the same Component ‘XPCEng.ocx’ error with both installs
Im running OS X Tiger on a Mac and was looking to see if there was or a ‘hear of’ version of File Search 1.0. Tnx.
For the version you don’t have to install, copy all the files in the “needed files” folder into the “GFS-No-Install” folder. That’s what worked for me.
I got the same error as Jake and No Dice. I downloaded from the link you gave and installed it and it works. Thanks! Is this a different version?
and none installed version..should be ok now
http://www.codelinx.net/GFS-No-install.rar
Was having the same run issues with the XPCEng.ocx file, tried the http://www.codelinx.net/GFS-install.rar installer and it now runs fine!
great tool boys you need to register manual all *.ocx files
god job boys
I liked the concept and speed. This is a very valuable tool – it is very useful to search for files on the Net.
The search interface is very quirky – looks like a geeky coder coded this. Ideally, we should have a box for file name, a box for extension (picklist) and a GO button clearly marked.
Kenny L
and it still doesent work lol either three of them :P
1. Incomplete URL’s
There are some listed URL’s that have a syntax error – there is either no start or end quotes in the URL.
2. Is there a way to submit content based URL’s for future inclusion in file search ?
actually, you need to move all the required files into the main directory. i’m not sure why it is, but i was getting the same errors, when i moved the files, it started working. perhaps this should be repacked so the ocx files are not in a separate folder.
same error…
All the components registering now.
Had the same problem, but was able to register the XPCEng.ocx file if I put the entire path (with filename) in quotes, after regsvr32.
I used the install version, and I still get the error Jake is getting.
Kenny the prog as downloaded from here gives the ocx error. The version from codelinx works but not all features. I’ll send a detailed update to you at deny as soon as take a good look.
dion.
if you had a problem with the first install Final rar… then Un-install … and download again and re-install
seems there was a problem with the first installer setup… so rebuit it…
sorry about this…
dont forget YOU MUST UN-INSTALL problem version first
